Russia has called for a closed-door meeting of the UN Security Council on Sunday to discuss the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Golan Heights, according to diplomats.
The request comes amid escalating tensions in the region following significant developments in Syria, including the fall of the Assad regime and reports of increased military activity near the Israel-Syria border.
