Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich signed an order on Tuesday eliminating all tariffs on agricultural imports from the United States. The move, coordinated with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was made hastily to precede the implementation of a new U.S. tariff order signed by President Donald Trump, set to take effect tomorrow. The Israeli government hopes the gesture will lead to Israel being exempted from the incoming U.S. measures.
