Oman's Foreign Ministry announced Saturday that the second round of indirect nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran concluded with both sides agreeing to proceed to expert-level discussions.
The goal is to establish a framework for a "fair and lasting agreement" that ensures Iran remains free of nuclear weapons while sanctions are lifted and its right to peaceful nuclear energy is preserved.
Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi wrote on X that the talks aim to enable Iran to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. The next round of discussions is scheduled for April 26 in Oman.
