Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told members of the security cabinet on Wednesday night that Israel is holding talks with two countries about the possibility of voluntarily resettling Palestinians from Gaza, a senior official said Wednesday. According to the official, Netanyahu shared the update during a political briefing following his visits to Budapest and Washington, in the context of former President Donald Trump’s proposed regional framework. The prime minister also reportedly discussed with Trump Turkey’s intentions to establish military bases in Syria. Netanyahu emphasized that while Israel is not seeking confrontation, it will not hesitate to act to defend itself. On the economic front, Netanyahu noted that the U.S. administration is interested in resolving tariff issues and reiterated Israel’s commitment to reducing its trade deficit.
