In light of the increased missile launches from Yemen toward Israel, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said that he had instructed Israel's diplomatic missions in Europe to work to promote the declaration of the Houthis as a terrorist organization. He said, "I have appealed to the president of the UN Security Council to convene an emergency meeting to condemn the attacks by the Houthis, and Iran's continued support for them." He added: "They repeatedly attack Israel, threaten freedom of navigation and international trade, and constitute a threat not only to Israel, but to the region and the entire world. Their hostile actions are a serious violation of international law."
