Le Pen delivers French PM last-minute budget ultimatum

French right-wing leader Marine Le Pen demanded Prime Minister Michel Barnier link pensions to inflation in his 2025 budget and said she would table a last-minute amendment to provide him the opportunity.
"The decision remains in the hands of the Prime Minister ... We are going to table an amendment to abandon the de-indexation of pensions. It's up to the government to accept it or not," Le Pen told reporters.
French media reported Barnier was preparing to ram the social security budget through parliament without a vote.
