Jordan's Prime Minister Bisher Khasawnehh submitted his resignation on Sunday less than week after parliamentary elections, according to officials familiar with the matter. U.S.-educated Jaafar Hassan, currently head of King Abdullah's office and former planning minister, is expected to replace Khasawneh, a veteran diplomat and former palace advisor who was appointed nearly four years ago, the officials, who declined to be named, told Reuters.
