Israeli security guard killed in West Bank attack identified as Gideon Peri

Gideon Peri, a civilian security guard from the settlement of Kedumim, was killed in a terror attack at the Bar-On industrial park in the West Bank, the military and medics said on Sunday.
Peri was critically wounded after a Palestinian assailant struck him on the head with a hammer, seizing his gun and fleeing the scene in a stolen vehicle.
He was transported to Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva, where doctors were unable to save his life. Peri is survived by his wife, three children, parents and siblings.
Israeli security forces are conducting a manhunt for the Palestinian attacker, who had a valid work permit for employment in the Samaria region.
