In response to MK Avi Maoz requesting all education ministry purviews will be transferred under his authority, Tel Aviv mayor Ron Huldai said that Israel is gradually becoming a halachic state (governed by religious law) where democracy will become secondary.
"The way our leaders are going about it, I can't rule out bloodshed between Israelis in the near future," he said in an interview to Ynet.
With regards to MK Itamar Ben Gvir primed to serve as national security minister, he said: "He'll be a Jewish security minister, which means he'll 'straighten out' the Arabs and actually take care of Jews."
