Four people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since this morning, according to the Hamas-affiliated Quds news network. The report did not specify the identities of the casualties or the targets of the strikes. The IDF later said in a statement that several suspects operated near IDF troops in northern Gaza and were identified planting an explosive device in the area. In order to thwart the threat, the IAF struck the suspects.
"The IDF will continue to operate in order to eliminate any threat posed to the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF troops," the statement read.
