Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Saturday he spoke with the family of Idan Alexander, an Israeli-American soldier held hostage by Hamas.
Katz called the video of Alexander "cruel psychological warfare" but also an "important and emotional sign of life." Katz added that securing the hostages' return remains the military's top priority.
