Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara on Sunday morning published a letter in which she wrote to the government: "The end of the term of the Legal Advisor to the Prime Minister is a highly unusual step. The planned declaratory hearing is not part of the regular procedure, has no legal validity and circumvents the established rules." It also states that "the government seeks to be above the law, and to act without checks and balances, even in the most sensitive periods. We will not be deterred. The proposal seeks to promote loyalty to the political echelon." Baharav-Miara announced that she will not attend the government hearing dealing with her dismissal.
