Israel scraps PA funding deal with Norway

The Foreign Ministry will end an arrangement with Norway to assist in the transfer of frozen tax funds earmarked for the Palestinian Authority (PA) that were collected by Israel, Ynet has learned. Norway was tapped to assist in the transfer of the funds, after Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said he would not allow funds earmarked for Gaza, to pay public sector salaries, to be delivered. The ministry's decision comes in response to Norway's recognition of a Palestinian State and its criticism of Israel and its war in Gaza.
