Prof. Eran Segal of the Weizmann Institute estimated Monday that by the end of January one out of every four Israelis will be diagnosed with COVID.
"I think we will cross the infection peak we saw during the [spread of the Delta variant], which was 10,000 verified a day," said Segal.
"I believe we will also cross the 20,000 mark... But we will no longer be able to count the number of cases because there are simply not enough tests."
