Foreign ministers of Iran, Egypt discuss situation in Syria: 'Terrorism threatens region'

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke by phone with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty. "Iran's policy is consistent in its support for the government, the army and the Syrian people against terrorism," Araghchi told him. "The return of terrorism threatens regional security and stability and it is necessary to continue the diplomatic efforts of all players in the region to deal with the danger." Abdelatty assured the Iranian minister that his country "supports the sovereignty of Syria, its territorial integrity and the protection of the legal institutions."
