Hundreds gathered Thursday at the Petah Tikva cemetery to mourn Barak Tzach, a local resident who was killed in a rare shark attack off the coast of Hadera.
Tzach, who was in his 40s, is survived by his wife and four children. Friends and loved ones arrived at the funeral wearing shirts printed with the words "You will remain in my heart forever" on the front. The back featured an image of a bicycle, snorkel, and sandals resting on a beach, along with the phrase "Barak-land"—a signature he often drew in the sand during his visits to the sea.
