Israel’s Mossad intercepted Hezbollah’s communication devices which exploded on Tuesday before they were handed over to the terrorist group, Sky News Arabia reported.
According to sources cited in the report, the devices exploded after "Mossad placed PETN explosives on the batteries, which were detonated by increasing the temperature."
PETN (Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate) is a highly potent, plastic explosive commonly used in military and demolition applications due to its stability and powerful blast.
Al Jazeera also cited Lebanese sources claiming the devices had been "pre-rigged with explosives."
