Hamas condemns Palestinian Authority counterterrorism operation in Jenin

Hamas on Monday accused Palestinian security forces of committing a "grave crime" with their ongoing counterterrorism operation in the Jenin refugee camp, calling for continued efforts to "break the siege and protect resistance fighters."
Anwar Rajab, a spokesperson for the Palestinian Authority security forces, told Al Jazeera earlier that “what’s happening in Jenin has nothing to do with resistance. It’s behavior reminiscent of ISIS, aimed at extorting the security apparatus and preventing it from fulfilling its role."
He added, "We are aware of the complexities but will not recreate the Gaza experience or embark on the reckless actions seen with Hamas and Islamic Jihad."
