Israeli security forces activated a "Tequila" alert in the Jerusalem area following a security warning on Sunday.
The alert, a high-level operational protocol in response to potential threats, involves heightened security measures, including roadblocks and increased police and military presence in sensitive areas.
As part of the response, checkpoints were erected along Highway 1, the main highway connecting Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, causing traffic disruptions. The alert remains in place as authorities continue to assess the situation.
