IDF chief: 'Our intention against Hezbollah is not to revert to October 6'

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said on Wednesday that the situation on the northern border will not revert to the status quo before the war.
"Yesterday afternoon, we had the opportunity to eliminate Fuad Shukr, Hezbollah's top military figure and a close associate of Nasrallah. Our intention against Hezbollah is not to revert to October 6," he said during a visit to a brigade exercise near the northern border.
"The IDF can target a specific window in a Beirut neighborhood or strike an underground point. We also know how to conduct a very strong ground operation inward."
