Brazil's Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes recommended on Wednesday that former President Jair Bolsonaro stand trial for allegedly attempting a coup after his 2022 electoral defeat.
Moraes, who is overseeing a probe on the alleged coup attempt, was the first of a five-judge panel to cast his vote on whether to accept charges against Bolsonaro.
