Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday "The day after the war, Israel will have security-wise control in the Gaza Strip, with the ability to enter whenever needed to eliminate terrorists who may resurface. There will be no Hamas. There will be no civil authority indoctrinating its children to hate Israel, to kill Israelis, or to destroy the State of Israel."
"There cannot be an authority there that pays families of murderers based on the number of people they killed. It cannot be that the leader of that authority, more than 30 days after the massacre, still has not condemned it. That cannot stand. There will need to be something else there. There may be pressures on this issue, but I do not mean to give up."
