Safaa Kat Awad, a teacher in her 50s, was killed Monday when a rocket directly hit a building in the northern Arab town of Shfar’am, authorities said Monday evening. She suffered fatal injuries, despite reportedly taking cover in her apartment's safe room.
Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa reported receiving 30 injured from the attack, including a 41-year-old woman and a 4-year-old boy who were admitted to the trauma unit in serious condition.
