The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition organization operating from London, reported that the rebel organization Hayat Tahrir al-Sham launched an attack on the city of Hama in Syria, and surrounded it from three directions. The Syrian Ministry of Defense claimed that the report was false, and stated that "the situation in every area of Hama is normal and safe. Our forces are deployed in outposts near and far from the city in all directions, ready to repel and confront any possible attack."
