Senior officials in the justice system and constitutional law experts told Ynet that the Supreme Court sent a 'wake-up call' to the government regarding ultra-Orthodox military service. According to them, the Supreme Court is signaling to the government that 'we will begin managing this situation.' They added: 'The government is increasing the burden on those who serve, recruiting soldiers with insufficient experience for operational activity, while doing nothing to draft yeshiva students. A clear example of this is the government's ignoring of the Attorney General's request to hold a final discussion on expanding sanctions prepared against draft dodgers and the continued provision of benefits to them.'
