No potatoes in Bnei Brak

Rabbi Moshe Landau discovered that this season's potatoes are afflicted with worms and other insects.
Because of this, sale of potatoes is prohibited in Bnei Brak, unless the grocer has an in-house Kashrut supervisor who thoroughly checks the inventory.
Most of the grocers in Bnei Brak are under the Kashrut supervision of the city's rabbi, compelling the city's residents to forego potato borekas, French fries, and other potato delicacies.
For instance, French fries are no longer as a falafel accompaniment at Akiva Azulay's falafel shop on Rabbi Akiva Street in the city.
