DiCaprio: Bar Refaeli? She's a nice girl

Movie star breaks his silence, but will his model girlfriend be happy to hear what he thinks about her?

PARIS – Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio broke his silence this week on the issue which gossip columns are most interested in: His affair with Israeli model Bar Refaeli.

However, his first and short public remark on the issue may disappoint some people, including Bar herself.

Dicaprio gave an interview to the French weekly Paris Match ahead of the release of his new film The Departed in France. The interviewer asked him what he thought about Bar, and he answered, "She is a nice girl."

The quote was so unusual that the weekly gave it in English.

Perhaps in light of the not-so-enthusiastic quote, Paris Match chose not to treat the model favorably and referred to her as "an Israeli photography model who evaded military service."

The weekly also ruled that Bar is "a younger look-alike of Gisele," the Brazilian model and DiCaprio's ex-girlfriend.

'Most discreet couple in show business'

The paper went on to say that there were very few known details about Bar and Leonardo's relationship and referred to them as "the most discreet couple in show business."

It added, however, that the two enjoy shopping in Paris, and that Leonardo has a habit of visiting the city's museums every time he arrives at the French capital, including the Pablo Picasso Museum and the Orsay Museum, which he recently toured along with his grandmother, who he is very close to.

Leonardo Dicaprio admitted in the interview that he was still very close to his parents and talked to them on the phone every day.

"I did not have many friends when I grew up. It was mainly my parents and me," he said. Now he also has "the nice girl" Bar.
