Dorot expands overseas operations
‘Garlic & Herbs Dorot’ announces plan for US subsidiary on East Coast. Company expected to be fully operational within months
The Board of Directors of “Garlic & Herbs Dorot”, Kibbutz Dorot, has announced plans to establish a subsidiary in the United States.
The company will be involved with the importing of garlic and herbs from Israel, logistical management, marketing activities, and sales throughout the US.
Oded Barish, President and CEO of “Garlic & Herbs Dorot”, stated that Dorot's products are currently sold in over 1500 retail outlets throughout the US in addition to restaurants, hotels & other institutions.
Dorot's US product line
Dorot now has the opportunity to considerably increase its sales to the US and the formation of a subsidiary will provide a base from which to grow. In addition, by keeping the US subsidiary fully stocked, it will ensure accurate response times to all orders received.
Dorot is now actively searching for a manager and suitable premises on the East Coast and the subsidiary is expected to be fully operational within the next few months.
The initial investment of this venture is expected to be 1 million dollars, which will include staff recruitment, distribution, storage and marketing expenses.
Dorot's core products in the overseas market are their trays of garlic, ginger, coriander, parsley, dill, and basil, which are unique worldwide.
In addition to the US, Dorot's products are sold in large retail chains in Canada, Scandinavia, France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and other countries.
