Former IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz will be paid $7,500 a month in his new post as the chairman of Starling Advanced Communication, a start-up company jointly owned by Raphael, Elbit and Nochi Dankner's IDB group.
In addition, Halutz with been given the option to purchase 183,000 shares for NIS 10.88 a share.
Halutz was appointed as the company's chairman in July. Starling was launched in 2003 and was floated last May.
The company specialized in designing antennas for airborne broadband communication, but has failed to register significant profits.
Since it was floated its shares fell by 13 percent.
