Cypress Hill, defined by many as one of the most important groups in the American hip hop scene, will arrive in Israel
this summer.
The band, which has been active for 22 years now, will hold one concert in Tel Aviv's Exhibition Park on July 30.
The group was founded by Cuban-born brothers Sen Dog and Mellow Man Ace along with DJ Muggs, the son of Italian immigrants. The band was named after the cypress hill located on the central avenue in its members' neighborhood.
The group's first album was released in 1991 and immediately earned impressive commercial success. It sold 2 million copies.
During their Israeli concert, the band members are expected to perform their greatest hits, including "How I Could Just Kill a Man", "Insane in the Brain" and "Real Thing", which has been performed as a duet with Pearl Jam, as well as songs from the three group members' solo projects.
