After officially opening the summer season at the Caesarea Amphitheater, with concerts which were sold out in advance, leading Israeli singer Shlomo Artzi will soon launch a new concert tour in the United States.
At this stage, Artzi is scheduled to only hold three concerts in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, each of which is expected to be attended by thousands of people.
The Los Angeles gig will be held at the 4,000-seat Kodak Theater, the New York concert will take place at the United Palace Theater which has a 3,500-seating capacity, while in San Francisco Artzi will hold a smaller gig in front of 2,200 spectators.
Artzi's last US concert tour was joined by another leading Israeli singer, Shalom Hanoch. Now he is on his own again.
"You know I don’t really like to fly," Artzi said, "but it's always fun going back to the audience waiting in the US, seeing the amount of people arriving and experiencing something else.
"I'm not always in favor of these trips, but this time it seems like the right thing to do. I think we'll have fun."
