South Korea's airline Korean Air plans to inaugurate its first passenger flight to Israel's Ben-Gurion Airport on September 25.
The company will operate three weekly flights on the Seoul-Tel Aviv line on its 747 Combi planes, which can accommodate 280 passengers and a relatively large amount of baggage.
A flight ticket is expected to cost about $1,000, and continuing flights will be available to destinations like Japan and China.
The company will also offer flights through Seoul to cities in Canada and in the United States, including San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas and Chicago.
Korean Air, the ninth largest airline in the world, will be the first from the Far East to fly to Israel.
