Israeli super-model Bar Refaeli will be awarded the prestigious Women's World Award in the "Style" category during a ceremony in Vienna on March 5.
The Women's World Awards are presented by the World Award foundation in 12 different categories to "extraordinary women from throughout the world whose achievements contribute to furthering self-determination, gender equality, freedom and the elimination of all forms of social and economic discrimination."

The event's organizers informed the Israeli Embassy in Vienna last week that Refaeli has been chosen by an international jury to be the recipient of the Women's World Style Award. "The Israeli super model is one of the best known faces in the world," they said in a statement.
"She appeared on the covers of Cosmopolitan and Elle and featured in campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated. She leaves a significant mark on the style of the modern woman in 2009."
This year's awards will be presented to the winners by Queen Noor of Jordan, who is herself the recipient of the foundation's Tolerance Award in 2006.
Refaeli joins an impressive list of women who received the award in the past, including Oprah Winfrey, Claudia Schiffer, Whoopi Goldberg and Susan Sarandon.
Among this year's honorees are Hollywood star Monica Bellucci ("Matrix", "The Passion of Christ"), Nujood Ali, the 10-year-old girl from Yemen who successfully went to court to divorce her 30-year old husband whom she was forced to marry, Pop superstar Anastacia, Italian star designer Angela Missoni, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Betty Williams, teen idol Kelly Clarkson, the current number 1 on the US charts, Marilyn Carlson Nelson, Chairwoman of the Carlson Group and one of the most powerful women in the world and music icon Marianne Faithfull, whose successful music career spans over 4 decades and, who recently became an award winning actress.
