Minister Aharonovitch apologizes for 'Arabush' remark in Knesset

Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch apologized at the Knesset plenum for calling an undercover police agent an "Arabush" (a derogatory term for Arab), and, after the matter was raised by MK Ahmad Tibi, said, "This remark was uncalled for."

"I have apologized for what I said and I plan to take this opportunity to apologize again. I wish to appeal to the entire Arab public and say that this comment is no reflection on my views or outlook," he added. (Amnon Meranda)
