Investigators say were unable to derive relevant information during interrogation of mother's other children due to influence of elements within Jerusalem's haredi community
Sources close to the mother, who is accused of starving her three-and-a-half year-old son, said she brought him gifts and candy, and even prepared breakfast for him.
In accordance with the Jerusalem District Court's orders, the meeting was supervised by a social worker and a Family Services psychologist. The mother was filmed disconnecting her son's feeding tube while he was hospitalized at Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital.
"It was apparent that they had missed each other greatly," one of the mother's friends said of the meeting.
Defense attorneys David Halevy and Reuven Bar-Haim issued a statement saying, "To our understanding, the meeting was very emotional. We believe it marks the beginning of a process at the end of which the boy will return to his mother's custody."
The boy is currently in his uncle's custody.
