Ben-Gvir to police: Don't allow PLO flags in Sheikh Jarrah
Extreme right-wing activist Itamar Ben-Gvir turned to Jerusalem Police Chief Aharon Franco asking him not to allow PLO flags to be waived during the leftist demonstration being held in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah on Saturday evening.
In a letter he sent to Franco, Ben-Gvir mentioned that Israel's designation of the PLO as a terrorist organization has not been revoked. Therefore, he demanded that an end be put to the police's forgiving policy towards what he deemed the leftist activists. (Efrat Weiss)
