Hebrew University's Lindenstrauss to receive Fields Medal in math

Prof. Eilon Lindenstrauss from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will receive the prestigious Fields Medal for 2010.

 

Lindenstrauss has an undergraduate degree in physics and mathematics and a masters and doctorate in mathematics from the Hebrew University. The Fields Medal is awarded every four years and is considered the mathematics equivalent of the Nobel Prize. (Yael Branovsky)
