Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gave a special interview to CNN's Larry King Wednesday night, and used the platform to bash Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Speaking with King, Ahmadinejad lashed out at Netanyahu, calling him a "skilled killer" who "should be put on trial for killing women and children."
The Iranian president said that Netanyahu himself was focused on Iran as "all dictators in history blame others to divert the spotlight elsewhere… It is interesting that the American media feels responsible for this man. You are afraid of his warmongering," he sneered King.
Ahmadinejad also deflected questions about Iran's nuclear ambitions, saying Tehran has "no interest" in a nuclear bomb, and that the only ones concerned about Iran's intentions were "the Zionist regime and some American authorities."
Ahmadinejad insisted that "we have no interest in a nuclear bomb and we do not think that it is useful."
Still on the subject of atomic capabilities, the Iranian president said he believes "both the Zionist regime and the United States government should be disarmed. The threat to the world are the bombs that the US government and the Zionist regime have."
Ahmadinejad is in New York for the annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.
