David Fattal. Plans to expand
The Fattal hotel chain last week opened the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Munich, one of the most luxurious hotels in the German city, at a total investment of some €70 million (about $93 million).
This four-star hotel has five floors and 424 rooms, including 11 regular suites and one presidential suite. It also includes the biggest banquet hall the city has to offer, a dining room, a lobby, a business lounge, a cigar lounge, a spa and a gym.
The hotel is located across from the Olympic Park.

The hotel's unique concept combines art, lights and music in all parts of the hotel - including the lobby, which serves as a bar in the evenings.
32 hotels in Europe
The hotel was planned by Investa, one of Germany's biggest construction companies, along with Israeli architects Yehuda and Yoel Feigin. Renowned architect Andreas Neudahm was in charge of the interior design.
"I am proud that within two years we have built one of the most luxurious hotels in a city considered one of Germany's strongest business centers," said Fattal owner David Fattal, adding that he planned to expand the Leonardo chain to additional countries in Europe.
The Fattal chain in Europe is run by Daniel Roger and includes 32 hotels in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. The chain's sales turnover stands at €100 million ($131 million) and it employs 1,800 workers.
