Focus on global terror. 'Homeland'
Showtime has announced that its hit television series "Homeland," which is based on the Israeli series “Kidnapped," will return for a second season on September 30.
According to Showtime, production on "Homeland" is scheduled to begin this spring, with shooting in North Carolina and Israel.

The second season of the breakout hit drama - about the cat-and-mouse game between a US Marine (Damian Lewis) who returned from captivity as a hero and the bipolar CIA agent (Claire Danes) who suspected he was a terrorist - will feature more footage from Israeli locations than in season one.
Executive Producer Howard Gordon said the second season of "Homeland" - which won two Golden Globes and a Writers Guild of America award – would focus more on international terrorism.
The first season of "Homeland" averaged 4.4 million viewers, with the last episode becoming the highest-rated season finale for a freshman series in Showtime history.
