A fire erupted at an Adjutant Corps training base in Zerifin on Tuesday. Fire fighters contained the blaze which broke out at the base's mess hall. No injuries were reported, but grave damage was caused to the building.
One of the soldiers stationed at the base told Ynet that the dining hall was empty when the fire broke out. He said that all soldiers and civilians in the vicinity were quickly evacuated from the area after a fire protocol was declared.

The soldier noted that he and his friends had initially thought it was a drill.
On Saturday, a mass fire broke in Rishon Lezion's dunes near the Superland amusement park. Fire fighters aided by two planes contained the flames. The fire was apparently cause by a remote-control operated model airplane which had crashed into a shrub.
On the same day, a fire also erupted at the Horashim Forest in central Israel. The blaze was extinguished by eight firefighting teams and two airplanes.
