Last year, Tel Aviv was ranked among the world's 10 best cities for gay tourism, which brought some 20,000 proud tourists to the city for this year's Gay Pride Week. Now, Israel's gay capital has another notch in its belt – the Hilton Beach has been named one of the 10 best beaches in the world for the gay and lesbian community.
The beach won the distinction courtesy of the popular gay tourism site GayCities, which provides information for gay tourists on 215 cities around the world.

According to GayCities, now that this year's gay pride festivals are winding down, members of the community are busy throwing off their clothes and heading for the coast – an excellent opportunity to put together a 10-best list.
Why Tel Aviv? "The Hilton Beach is a hotspot packed with sunbathers, both olive-skinned locals and the visitors from all over the world looking to experience the city’s flavor and get rid of their tan lines," the site decrees.
