Following a relatively quiet night, air raid sirens awoke the residents of Sderot, Hof Ashkelon and Sha'ar Hanegev. A rocket fired by Palestinian terrorists in Gaza Saturday morning exploded in an open area near the southern Israeli city of Sderot, while another rocket landed in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council. Two more rockets exploded within the limits of the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council. There were no reports of injury or damage.

Later, five rockets were fired at the Eshkol Regional Council in the Negev, and another hit near Beersheba. There were no reports of injury in these attacks either.

Air raid sirens were activated in the Bnei Shimon Regional Council and Merhavim.
At exactly 7 am the Color Red siren was activated in Sderot and Sha'ar Hanegev. Ten minutes earlier an air raid siren sounded in communities located within the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council. Less than an hour later sirens were activated in the Eshkol Regional Council, Ofakim and Beersheba. Five rockets exploded within the Eshkol Regional Council, and another landed in an open area near Beersheba.
A number of sirens were activated overnight and during the early morning hours in Israeli communities located near the Gaza Strip. At 5:49 a siren was heard in Netivot and the Sdot Negev Regional Council. About two hours earlier a siren sounded in the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council.
Shortly after midnight, the Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted a rocket that was fired toward Netivot. Two additional rockets fired at Netivot were intercepted before midnight.
During the night the Israeli aircraft attacked 186 terror targets throughout Gaza, including the Hamas government building and rocket launchers.
The IDF attacked 830 terror targets in Gaza since Operation Pillar of Defense began.
