Cambridge digitizes ancient Hebrew text
Copy of Ten Commandments from Torah, dating back 2,000 years, is now available to view free of charge on UK university's digital library website
VIDEO - The University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom has digitized a 2,000-year-old copy of the Ten Commandments from the Torah, and it is now available to view free of charge on their digital library website.

The commandments are recorded on the fragile Nash Papyrus which dates back to the second century Before the Common Era.
Prior to the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, it was the oldest known manuscript containing text from the Torah, the Hebrew Bible.
Along with the ancient document made of river reed, the website features numerous other ancient texts in Hebrew, Arabic and Sanskrit.
The Cambridge Digital Library allows viewers to zoom in to observe the documents in great detail and to view all the pages of a book, something that would not be possible in a traditional library or museum.
