Only last week it was reported that the contract with Google, which was slated to expire on January 31, had been extended by an additional four months. Perion is likely securing its position through Microsoft in case its agreement with Google is terminated.
Perion, formerly IncrediMail, develops software and toolbars. After installation, the Web search is conducted through Google, and now through Bing as well.
The income from advertising is divided between Perion and the search engine company.
