As many as four million Israelis are regularly active on Facebook, visiting the social network at least once in the past month, according to official figures released by the company.
Some 42.4 million pictures and 129 million posts have shared on Facebook in the past month. The number of "likes" is impressive too – 764 million. The "like" button was clicked about 25 million times a day in Israel.
About 384,000 videos were posted on Facebook in the past month, 13.1 million statuses were updated and 12.4 million comments were posted on users' timelines.
The figures reflect the past month, and despite being dynamic and changing on a daily basis – they present a pretty accurate picture of Israelis' use of Facebook. The conclusion is not surprising: Israelis love Facebook. In fact, the number of Israelis who are active on the social network has doubled since May 2012, when it stood at two million.

In addition, Israelis reported their location using the Facebook "check-in" feature 278,000 times in the past month.
According to the company's figures, the average age of an Israeli Facebook user is 32, slightly higher than the average age in the world, which stands at 30.
Facebook officials indicate a recent trend of more Israeli adults being active on Facebook. About 9% of Facebook users are 55 years old, and about 8% are in the 45-54 age group. The larges age group in 18-24 (about 27% of Israeli users).
And what about youth? About 12% of Israeli Facebook users are aged 13-17. However, these figures may not be accurate as there are children who lie about their age on Facebook as the social network has a minimum age limit of 13.
More than half of Israelis use their mobile phone as the main tool for visiting Facebook, while 46% use a personal computer.
Elad Brindt Shavit, an Israeli who works at the Facebook headquarters in Dublin, is currently in Israel in a bid to connect between Facebook and Israeli companies interested in advertising on the social network.
The social network encourages companies and startups to explore ways to advertise on Facebook, and is looking for suitable Israeli candidates for marketing, advertising and sales positions in Dublin.
