Senior Hezbollah officials: Assad will not respond to Israeli strike
Senior officials within Hezbollah addressed the alleged Israeli attack on a military base in Syria to Kuwaiti newspaper Al-rai, and said: "Israel lifts up its head every time the Syrian regime achieves progress in the war. The Israeli attack will not affect the battle and will not push Assad to respond."
Meanwhile, a senior European diplomat told the paper that the target for the Israeli attack was to harm the peace conference in Geneva. The diplomat, who worked with Israel in the past, added that "what Israel did has nothing to do with Hezbollah's missile arsenal." (Roi Kais)
