Ronaldo, whose visit is sponsored by Coca Cola, will be greeted with the trophy in a state ceremony at Ben-Gurion Airport in the presence of Culture and Sports Minister Limor Livnat, Brazil's ambassador to Israel and key figures in Israeli soccer.
The trophy's world tour tradition began in 2006, and it will visit 88 countries in 267 days.
Ronaldo is considered one of the greatest strikers in history. He retired from football in February 2011. Throughout his career he was part of the Brazilian squad that won the 1994 and 2002 World Cups and became the all-time World Cup top scorer with 15 goals.
Ronaldo also had a magnificent club career, playing for top teams such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan.
