IDF troops kill 5 terrorists attempting to infiltrate Israel by sea
Soldier lightly wounded in fire exchange with terrorists; area around kibbutz closed off for fear of more terrorists.
Five armed terrorists attempted to infiltrate Israel on Tuesday evening when they entered Israel by sea, near Kibbutz Zikim.
Troops from the Israeli Navy, the Givati Brigade and the Armored Corps exchanged fire with the terrorists, killing all five.
One soldier was lightly wounded in the fire exchange.

Residents of the kibbutz, which is under the juristiction of the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council, were told to remain indoors while the confrontation was underway.
Fearing additional attempts by terrorists to infiltrate Israel, the area surrounding Zikim was closed off and residents of Kibbutz Kerem Shalom instructed to stay indoors.
After IDF searches of the area, it was concluded that no terrorists had infiltrated Kerem Shalom.
