Actor and comedian Seth Rogen has a new video in which he sends up the stereotypical story of the Jewish kid whose family doesn't celebrate Christian holidays.
According to Rogen, though both Canadians and Jews celebrate Thanksgiving, but his parents just didn't want to deal with another holiday, so, well, they lied. Only later in life did he discover that it was actually a very Jewish holiday.
Rogen, whose parents met on a kibbutz and who went to Jewish school as a child, acted in several of the highest-grossing comedies of the last decade.
Rogen has frequently referenced Jewish culture and identity.
This May, Rogen took to the internet to criticize the rapper Macklemore, who was accused of wearing an anti-semitic costume on stage: "First you trick people into thinking you're a rapper, now you trick them into thinking you're Jewish?"
Rogen also once claimed to have a Jewish dog. "We converted her," he said in a talk show appearance. "We took her to rabbinical school. Extensive lessons, the Talmud, She knows the Talmud now."
